Can you afford to be getting it wrong?

Welcome to Recover Your Breath - a one day immersion programme for literally everyone that breathes.

Breathing is so integral to our being that it is the first thing and the last thing we do in this world.

It is well known that breathing can help calm our nervous system down, can relax us, can bring us back from a stressful situation, but did you know that the diaphragm, our main breathing muscle, plays a huge part in the way our body functions and moves?

Back pain, neck pain, incontinence issues, poor posture and weak core activation can all be symptoms of poor diaphragm mechanics.

When  we talk breathing at My Bodyworks, we’re talking about breathing mechanics and the DIAPHRAGM – the way we use breath to create stability in our bodies; help our digestive and circulatory systems to work; to take us out of fight or flight mode; activate our core; maintain pelvic continence and ultimately to move properly.

The Intrinsic Core

We’ll be discovering what we really mean by the CORE and meeting the team of core muscles with discovery exercises.

You will learn to integrate the muscles of the core to maintain good  IAP (intra-abdominal pressure) to help stabilise the lower back, and maintain good continence and abdominal activation.

Posture

We’ll be exploring how posture and everyday habits affect our optimal breathing patterns.

You will learn alignment exercises, stretches, and release work for the spine to improve movement through your spine, ribcage, and pelvis.
